North Channel Gore Bay - windy!

As we entered the Gore Bay Harbour, we were entertained by a sailing class. It was already windy and a great time to practice tipping over and getting back up. The instructor swam to one of the boats to help the frustrated sailor.
Our plan to stay two days in the Benjamin was interrupted with the forecast of high winds. We thought it best to leave in the morning and head to Gore Bay or be "stuck" in the Benjamins for a number of days.

Gore Bay Harbor is a big, relatively new marina.

Once again we were next to our friends Francis and Jim on Minnehaha.

The trip to Gore Bay is beautiful and the seas were kind, so we were glad to be tied at the dock when the winds finally arrived.

Purvis Fisheries provides the fresh fish in the area.

We decided to get "boat work" done to take advantage of the day. Boo got a haircut and Jim finished painting the two windows he had started a few days earlier. Experimenting for his winter task ahead!

The Anglican Church.

Last trip we rode our bikes to the lighthouse and visited with the occupants. They were living in the lighthouse with the provision that they would give tours. Simple life, but so charming!

15 minutes of wifi and have your credit card ready for more time. (Who can do anything on the computer in 15 minutes!).
